About Cardboard2
Hi, I'm Tanner Woody, and I built Cardboard2 for the fans.
Cardboard2 is a community-driven platform dedicated to helping players, collectors, and local game stores explore, trade, and track cards from the One Piece TCG (OPTCG). Our mission is to get more people playing the game!
Better tools for players, traders, and stores.
Our Story
Cardboard2 started as a weekend project born out of frustration. As an active collector and player, I found myself constantly struggling with disorganized pricing data across multiple platforms, confusing trade management, and the tedious process of entering the same card information over and over again into different apps.
The breaking point? Having to use blue tape to mark all my cards and bundles for trades, then manually tracking who I was meeting, where, and when. There had to be a better way.
So I built one. Cardboard2 is designed to be the smarter, open, and community-friendly way to track deals, manage collections, and support local game stores. It's built by collectors, for collectors — with transparency and usefulness to the TCG community at its core.
What We Do
Price Tracking & Analytics
Real-time insights and historical data for card values, helping you make informed decisions about when to buy, sell, or trade.
Trading & Deal Management
Tools to organize trades, sales, and wishlists. No more blue tape — manage everything digitally with ease.
Local Game Store Support
Connecting players with nearby shops and events. We believe local game stores are the heart of the TCG community.
Community Data & Deck Tools
Aggregating community decklists and tournament results to help you stay ahead of the meta and build winning strategies.
Affiliate Marketplace Integration
Partnering with TCGplayer and other marketplaces to help you find the best deals on the cards you need.
Collection Tracking
Log your cards with pull dates, purchase prices, and notes. See what you have, what you need, and track your collection's value over time.
Our Mission & Values
We believe every player should have access to transparent data and fair pricing. That's why Cardboard2 aggregates open information, respects creators, and supports local game stores through community-driven features and affiliate partnerships.

Meet the Creator
Cardboard2 is created and maintained by Tanner Woody — a software engineer with 15 years of experience in software and web development, spanning front-end development, quality assurance, design, databases, data mining, data warehousing, and API development. Tanner has spent 5 years leading development teams and brings that leadership experience to building tools that truly serve the community.
What sets Cardboard2 apart is Tanner's unique combination of technical expertise and deep domain knowledge. With 5 years of hands-on experience building software specifically for card collecting (sports cards and Pokemon), he understands the pain points collectors face because he's lived them. This isn't just another side project — it's built by someone who knows both the code and the cards.
When he's not building features or optimizing databases, you'll find Tanner at local tournaments, trading with friends, or hunting for that perfect alternate art. He brings the same attention to detail to his collection as he does to his code.
How We Sustain the Site
We believe in transparency about how Cardboard2 is funded:
- Paid Subscriptions: We offer paid subscription plans that unlock unlimited access to all features, including advanced deck building tools, collection tracking, and deal management. This subscription model allows us to keep core features accessible while providing enhanced functionality for dedicated users.
- Affiliate Links: We may earn a small commission from affiliate links (such as TCGplayer, eBay, and other marketplaces). This helps support our hosting and development costs while helping you find the best prices on cards.
- Analytics: We use privacy-respecting analytics tools (like Umami) to understand how people use the site and improve the user experience. All analytics are collected anonymously and aggregated.
- Advertising: We may display ads to help support the platform. These are carefully selected to be relevant to the TCG community without being intrusive.
We value privacy and only collect minimal data to improve site performance. Your data is never sold or misused.
